  • We particularly welcome people who make their own products and are at the market to sell them on the day.
  • We welcome brand new makers, starting out and can offer lots of help and support to give you confidence and build success.
  • We like to ensure our events showcase local traders so check out events close to home.
  • And we do our best to have as little crossover of product as possible to give everyone the chance to sell.
  • We pride ourselves on delivering friendly, quality, unique events. If you do too, we’d love to hear from you.

To trade at Worker Bee Markets, you’ll need the following:

Public Liability Insurance of at least £1 million. If you’re a new business, you don’t need to purchase this until just before your first event so still apply and send your PLI nearer the time. Annual PLI costs around £50, though it is possible to buy a policy to cover you for just one event.

A table. If your stock is light, buy a wallpaper pasting table for around £15. You can buy a 6ft trestle table for around £40 (or less) on Amazon/Ebay*

If you have a (waterproof professional standard) gazebo and weights, there are more opportunities to trade, but it’s not necessary. We have a limited number of indoor pitches at some events and there are some lovely traders happy to share their gazebo.*

Food traders need proof of Food Hygiene training (online training costs around £25) and details of your registration with your local council as well as your hygiene rating by the council if you’ve been inspected.

Hot Food traders need risk assessments and safety certificates.

Skincare creators (and anything that goes on the skin) need to ensure you’ve had your products tested and provide proof.

Toy makers need to ensure all their products are CE tested.

*Worker Bee Markets is a small event business with little infrastructure. We keep our pitch fees low by keeping our overheads, storage and staffing small scale. We believe we should spend your stall fees on marketing to ensure good footfall rather than on gazebos, tables, transport and support staff.
